Greater Orlando area office to be led by Board-certified Vascular Surgeon Dr. Vargas
WINDERMERE, FL. (September 6, 2019) – The Vascular Experts, the largest group of Board-certified vascular surgeons in the nation, announced today the addition of a new office location in Windermere, Florida and the addition of a new vascular surgeon, Lina M. Vargas, MD, FACS, RPVI. The new office will open on September 9.
Located at 13528 Summerport Village Parkway in Windermere, the office opening supports the group’s ongoing growth and expansion efforts as the leading vascular group in the country. Patients will have access to advanced technology and an expert clinical team, led by Dr. Vargas.

Dr. Vargas is a Board-certified vascular surgeon and has extensive experience in vascular and endovascular surgery. Prior to joining The Vascular Experts, she served as Clinical Associate in the Vascular Surgery department at the Vascular Institute of Central Florida – Florida Hospital Medical Group, Duke University Medical Center as well as the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University. Most recently, she provided world-class vascular surgery care at the Vascular Institute of Central Florida – Florida Hospital Medical Group.
Dr. Vargas has an extensive background in research and has published articles and book chapters on topics including aortic dissection, peripheral arterial disease, aneurysm treatment, dialysis access and arterial closure devices. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, the Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society and Women in Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Vargas holds privileges at Advent Health and is a distinguished member of the Pan American Medical Association as well as the Colombo American Medical Association, prestigious medical associations in the Central Florida area. Dr. Vargas is the only female, Spanish-speaking, Board-certified Vascular Surgeon in the Greater Orlando area.
